Irina Gorbman Biography

Biography

Irina Gorbman is a meditative, metaphysical, self-taught artist with a background in mechanical engineering and international relations, whose art journey began after a medical condition that required a prolonged recovery. She turned to the study of art to heal herself and found that art creation was, in fact, a healing meditation. Irina applied the properties of art and colors to practice these methods to create her own art. Abstract Expressionism is Irina’s signature style for her metaphysical oil paintings, where the vibrancy of the color combinations produces an optimistic uplifting feel. Spectators comment that ”there is more than you can see at a first glance,” finding subtle faces, mountains, water and magic towns that have not been intentionally painted.. Irina creates the Healing Power of Art. Since 2015 Irina’s work has been shown at several galleries and venues, including Boston International Fine Art Show, Architectural Digest Design Shows NYC, Agora Gallery in Chelsea, Colm Rowan in S. Hampton, New York Fashion Show and fundraising galas at MFA and Boston Design Center. Selected shows - https://www.igorbman.com/shows Art patrons note that the sensitivity of Irina’s works is similar to Edvard Munch, Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning, Edouard Manet, Mark Tobey and refer to abstract expressionism and automatic and gestural painting. Irina believes that in our technology-driven world, we need a color boost to feel more energetic and become more holistic. As we currently live in an unprecedented time, the need for the healing power of art is real. The world has changed permanently - we feel a reset in social interactions, explore our deeper selves and find happiness inside. The colors - happy colors - can elevate the energies and make people feel more alive. Irina Gorbman Fine Art offers original artworks, prints on canvas and pattern designs for custom decor and licensing, as well as exclusive, abstract NFT artworks.

My mission is to Create The Healing Power of Art! I believe that looking at my paintings people feel more energized and uplifted. My work process is a meditation, where I use oil on canvas in abstract, gestural and automatic style. I bring higher vibes on canvas with pure colors of the Universe, where spectators can explore hidden images that have not been intentionally painted. Drawing inspiration from philosophical teachings, yoga, and the wonders of Mother Nature, my paintings serve as conduits for My artistic endeavors encompass private showings, fundraising galas, and exhibitions in public venues across Boston and New York. Building upon my artwork, I’ve curated collections of wearable art, wallpapers, and coordinating fabrics for exclusive interiors.
