IG MODA by Irina Gorbman’s New York Fashion Week Debut.
Friday, September 6th, 2019 marked IG MODA by Irina Gorbman's debut at New York Fashion Week. The athleisure wear brand started in 2016 by founder Irina Gorbman, showed 17 original looks from its SS20 collection on the runway New York fashion week powered by Art Hearts Fashion at the Angel Orensanz Foundation.
Gorbman, a Boston local originally from Moscow, is a self-taught abstract artist who works in a meditative style creating unique metaphysical patterns. These oil- on-canvas abstract expressionist paintings are then printed over pieces and turned into wearable pieces of art that are easily mix-and-matchable for a day to night look.
Merging fashion and spirituality and based on the principles of Ayurveda, each IG MODA piece features colors placed with purpose – to enhance individual chakra energies. It is with the spirit of meditative art in mind that IG MODA’s maxim was created, “Wear Art – Recharge From Within®”. The pieces are high-performing, suitable for all physical activities and created with yoga, dance, ballet, cycling and running in mind.
The SS20 collection presents a large variety of wearable pieces including tops, leggings, dresses, skirts, and accessories inspired by a meditation process of connecting oneself with the Universe. All pieces are made from a quality, eco- friendly polyester-spandex blend which is both comfortable and stunning.
